PSG Qualifies for Champions League
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has qualified for the UEFA Champions League after defeating Nice on Sunday night. The match was held at the Parc des Princes and ended with PSG winning 4-0. This victory means that PSG will be participating in the group stage of the Champions League next season.
The match started off well for PSG as they took control of the game from the start. They created several chances throughout the first half but were unable to convert them into goals. However, their efforts paid off in the second half when they scored three goals in quick succession.
The first goal came in the 55th minute when Mauro Icardi scored a header from a corner kick. The second goal came in the 67th minute when Angel Di Maria scored a penalty after being fouled by Nice's goalkeeper. The third goal came in the 89th minute when Neymar scored a header from a cross.
This win has put PSG back in contention for the Ligue 1 title. They now have a five-point lead over their nearest rivals, Nice, who currently occupy second place in the table. PSG's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, praised his team's performance and said that it was important for them to qualify for the Champions League.
In other news, Lens have maintained their position in second place in the Ligue 1 table after defeating Bastia 2-0 on Saturday. The match was played at the Stade de Lens and saw Lens take the lead early on through a goal from Romain Vincze. They added another goal in the second half through a header from Maxence Lopes.
Lens' win has ensured that they remain in second place in the table despite losing to Marseille earlier this week. Their next match is against Monaco, who are currently leading the table. If Lens can beat Monaco, they could move up to first place.
